About the College Credit Plus Program
Lakota
is offering the College Credit Plus (CCP) program as another option for
students in grades 7-12 to earn college and high school credits simultaneously.
The courses are offered through agreements with
local public universities. The option is free to students, but it should be noted that it is an unfunded state mandate, in which Lakota must cover
the costs.
Students may take courses during fall, spring and
summer terms. Any courses offered on campus at Lakota's high schools are noted in the Program of Study. Lakota high school graduation requirements are not waived,
but may be met through CCP courses. Through the program, students can complete a year of college or more, thus reducing the time and expenses required to earn a degree.
Because it’s transcripted college credit, it will transfer to any Ohio public institution of higher learning.
Lakota
has partnered with several local colleges and universities, including
Cincinnati State Technical and Community College; Sinclair Community
College; Miami University, both main and regional campuses; and the
University of Cincinnati, both main and regional campuses.
Thursday 1/27 5-7pm: Open House to learn more about the CCP (College Credit Plus) program:
Lakota administrators as well as college representatives will be available in the Hub during the High School registration nights. A ten minute presentation will be offered twice, followed by an open house to ask questions and meet with college representatives.
