    Streamers and confetti filled the air at Xavier’s Cintas Center last week, in celebration of Lakota’s Class of 2018. Lakota West held its ceremony on Thursday to honor its 581 graduates, with Lakota East hosting its commencement exercises the following evening for 643 graduating seniors.

    Welcome Center Open through Summer, Relocates to Central Office June 21

    Lakota’s Welcome Center, previously known as the Enrollment Center, will remain open throughout the summer to welcome families new to Lakota for the 2018-19 school year. Beginning June 21, the Center will be available at its new location inside Lakota’s Central Office, located at 5572 Princeton Road.

    Lakota uses a comprehensive mass notification system, School Messenger, for delivering important school- and district-wide messages via email, phone and text message. All accounts will update to reflect new school and grade assignments for the 2018-19 school year on July 1.

    Freedom Students Help Build Monarch Waystation Garden

    Freedom students Pranav Khadkikar, Holden Burgess, and Siddharth Khadkikar came to Principal Lance Green two years ago with a proposal to build a LifeLAB Monarch Waystation garden on school grounds. After getting approval, the students and their families went right to work building the Waystation.
